(NYSE:DHT) announced today that it plans to offer approximately 7,000,000 common shares in a registered public offering, subject to market conditions. In connection with the offering, the company expects to grant the underwriters an option to purchase up to 1,050,000 additional common shares to cover over allotments, if any.
The company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include, without limitation, vessel acquisitions, business acquisitions or other strategic alliances, reduction of outstanding borrowings, capital expenditures and working capital.
Merrill Lynch & Co. and UBS Investment Bank will act as joint book running managers of the offering. Dahlman Rose & Company will act as co-manager.
